I recently inherited my brother's old PC, and I'm eager to upgrade it. Here are the current specs: 64GB of RAM, Intel Core i9-10850K CPU at 3.60GHz, a Z490 Aorus Elite motherboard, and a GTX 1070 Ti GPU. I mainly play games like Path of Exile 2, Genshin Impact, Hell Divers 2, Warframe, Minecraft, and Destiny 2. I'm looking to maintain 60-70 FPS in most games. Should I consider replacing the whole system, or can I just upgrade certain parts? Also, I'm uncertain if my current setup will perform better than my Xbox Series X, especially if I invest around $1,500 in upgrades.

Honestly, just upgrading your GPU would make a world of difference. Your i9-10850K is great for gaming. Depending on your budget, a GTX 5060 or something higher can really elevate your gaming experience!
The i9-10850K should handle most GPUs without issues. If you're aiming for high performance, an RX 9070 can easily run at 1440p. Just keep your budget in mind when choosing a GPU!
Your CPU is still pretty solid! Swapping out the GPU will definitely give you a noticeable boost, allowing you to outperform the Xbox with the right upgrades. Consider getting an RTX 5070 and maybe a new power supply, like an 850W unit, to support the new parts. That would put you in a great spot for gaming!
What's your budget looking like? Since your build is decent, focusing on a GPU upgrade is all you really need to up your performance!
A better GPU is essential! Aim for something like a used RTX 3080 or 4070, if you can find one at a good price. Your system will handle it well!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into the 5060.
