Hey everyone! I'm considering making a switch from Arch Linux to Gentoo on my old Samsung laptop from 2013 or 2014, which has some basic specs: 4GB of RAM (likely DDR3), an Intel Pentium 2117U CPU running at 1.80 GHz, and a 250GB HDD. I'm currently using the i3 window manager and, while I'm enjoying Arch, I really want to dive deeper into how Linux works and learn Bash. What do you think? Should I go for Gentoo or stick with Arch?

You might want to try out Bodhi Linux 7.0 HWE instead, especially with those specs. It might be a better fit for your older hardware!

I hadn't heard of Bodhi before, but I’ll definitely check it out!
