I'm dealing with an HP 845 G8 that won't charge and an Acer Spin 3 SP314 that works but isn't charging. I'm curious if it's possible to swap the charging plugs between these two laptops since the Acer's issue is just with the port. Any insights would be appreciated!

Swapping plugs isn't advisable, mainly because the voltage specs for the chargers can be different. If you're feeling adventurous, you could technically solder the cables, but that could become a messy hack and might damage your laptop more. If you want something safer, consider getting the right adapter for your devices instead.
It's quite unlikely that the charging ports are interchangeable since they're usually built into the mainboard. Even if you managed to switch them, there's a high risk you could fry your laptop because of different voltage requirements. It's best to look for compatible replacements instead of trying to switch them out.
Unfortunately, you can't swap the charging ports between these two models. They're usually designed with different internal shapes and connections. Your best bet is to try and repair the existing port on the HP instead. Sometimes, these can get bent or pushed back, and resoldering might fix the issue. If that doesn't work, you should be able to find a replacement port online.
