I'm setting up a small network inside a race team semi-trailer. The setup includes Starlink and cellular connections as WANs, along with Ubiquiti or Meraki equipment for routing, switching, APs, and cameras. I have space for an 8U rack, but I'm worried about how well the equipment will perform with all the vibrations from the truck. What can I do to minimize the impact of vibration, and are there specific types of equipment I should avoid or consider? I'm thinking of using Ubiquiti's industrial gear for its user-friendly features, and I'm also looking into vibration-isolated server racks and server-rated SSDs for the camera installations. Any advice would be appreciated, as I need to wire up three semis for this project, with fiber uplinks connecting to the main truck.

If you're going for all SSDs and mounting the rack with vibration isolation, most network gear like Ubiquiti or Meraki should handle the truck environment pretty well. Just make sure everything is secured properly!
Check out Martin enclosures or similar options. They use spring-mounted racks that help with vibration mitigation. They might stretch the budget a bit, but the right rack can really alleviate concerns about your devices failing under stress.
I'll take a look. Thanks for that!
I'm more interested in which race team you're working with. Three trucks sounds like you might be involved in NASCAR!
Unfortunately, I can't disclose that, but I appreciate your curiosity!

Good to know, thanks for the response!
