Hey everyone! I have a gaming setup with an RTX 4060, a 13th gen i5-13400F CPU, and 16GB of RAM, all running on a 1440p 280Hz monitor. I'm wondering if upgrading my CPU would help improve my FPS in games like Marathon and CS2, or do I need to upgrade my whole setup to prevent any bottleneck? Thanks for the advice!

Your setup seems pretty balanced as it is! It's possible that your GPU could be the bottleneck, especially at 1440p. I suggest using MSI Afterburner with RTSS to monitor your CPU and GPU utilization while gaming. It'll help you see where the issue lies.

For CS2 specifically, the single-core clock speed is crucial. Upgrading to a 14700k could boost your FPS, particularly if you're playing at 1080p with your current setup.
