Questions About Using Psensor for Temperature Logging While Gaming

I'm using Psensor to monitor my system temperatures while gaming, and I have a few questions. I noticed it shows readings for CCD1 and Tdie for my 9800X3D. What sensors in HWinfo64 correspond to these? How accurate are the temperature readings from Psensor compared to HWinfo? My motherboard is an Asus Prime B650M-A AXII, and I'm using a 9070XT GPU. I compared Psensor's readings with those from OCCT and found they differ by a degree or two. Which tool is likely more accurate for temperature logging? I'm using the Bazzite distribution.

Psensor and OCCT both rely on lm-sensors to access temperature data, which is why they should generally report the same information. If you're seeing discrepancies, it might be worth reaching out to their support teams for clarification. As for the HWinfo sensors, I can't really help since I've never used it myself. You can check the preferences in Psensor, though; it usually shows where it's pulling data from, and you can rename sensors if needed.

Thanks for the input! Just to clarify, we don’t fully utilize lm-sensors anymore. Our setup pulls from several sources: we have custom implementations for CPUs and rely on sysfs for other components. The discrepancies you see are quite normal since monitoring sensors can be inconsistent. Just keep an eye on the essential metrics!
