I just got a Seasonic 850W Core power supply, and it came with a 12-pin connector. I'm wondering if it's okay to use this with my PNY 5070 GPU. Are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of?

Yeah, that should work! Seasonic is a solid brand, and from what I know, the GPUs that have had issues with the 12V HPWR connector are the 5080 and 5090 because they draw more power. Just ensure that the connector is seated properly in the GPU and that the cable isn’t bent sharply at the plug. I’m using the same 12V HPWR cable with my 5070 Ti, and I've had no problems for about two months, even when pushing over 300W before I undervolted it.
You're right to check! Most PSUs don’t come with that 12-pin connector that was used for the 30 series. What OP likely means is the 12+4 pin 12V-2x6 connector, which is standard now. Just double-check your GPU's requirements!
Actually, I don’t think that’s correct. The 5070 needs a 16-pin 12VHPWR connector. A typical 12-pin cable is usually for the 3000 series founder's editions. Though, there could be some model variations. Are you sure your 5070 only has a 12-pin socket?

Yeah, my 5070 does have a 12-pin socket. I was thinking maybe PNY made it different from other models?
