I'm gearing up for my very first PC build and I've done quite a bit of research, mainly watching YouTube videos about the assembly process, so I'm fairly confident about putting things together. However, I could really use some guidance on the software side to ensure everything boots up safely and properly.
On the parts front, I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable but would love to get feedback on my current parts list. I initially aimed for a budget between $1500 and $1800, but my selection has gone a bit over $1900, and I'd appreciate any advice on how to optimize it. I'm open to suggestions for cost-saving changes while ensuring all components remain compatible.
Thanks so much for your help! Here's my parts list: [PCpartspicker Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hPYgNz)

I’ve got a few tips for you! I found a parts list that cuts costs without sacrificing quality. It includes an ATX motherboard for better fitting in the case. I also suggest using 6000MT/s CL30 memory for optimal performance, with the possibility to overclock it later if you're interested. I kept your drive, but you might find better deals elsewhere. Also, I removed the Windows key since there are ways to bypass the watermark, which can save you $200! What are your main goals for this PC—gaming or something else?
Your build isn’t too shabby, but there’s definitely room for improvement. For example, there won’t be much of a performance difference between the 770X and the 9700X, so that could help you save some cash. You can also look into getting a cheaper motherboard and RAM because you really don’t need 6400 speeds. Also, that CPU cooler you picked seems a bit overpriced.
Thanks for the insight! I’ll take a closer look at those components to see what changes I can make.
Great suggestions! I'm mainly focused on gaming, but I'm also keen on future-proofing, so I'll definitely consider these points.
