Hey everyone! I'm super excited to finally make the jump from console gaming to building my first gaming PC. I've usually just played on my dad's old Windows XP machine and haven't had much experience with PC components. A friend helped me put together a build on a website, and now I need some advice. I've checked the prices on Amazon and want to make sure I'm getting the best value for my money.
I live in California and I'm planning to use my PC solely for gaming. I definitely want to play games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and mod it extensively, as well as titles like Marvel Rivals, STALKER, DayZ, and other story-driven games. My goal is to run everything at ultra settings without any lag.
Here are the components I'm considering:
- CORSAIR Nautilus 360 RS LCD Liquid CPU Cooler ($160)
- MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi V1 Motherboard ($210)
- Acer Predator GM7 2TB SSD ($335)
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Processor ($384)

Total cost is about $2,780, and my budget is ideally under $3,000.
My friend suggested I might want to reconsider the processor or graphics card because his is slightly better and costs $600 more. If it's only a small frame rate difference, I think I'd prefer to save the money and upgrade in the future instead of splurging now.
I would love your opinions on these components and if you think they offer good quality for the price. I'm planning to build it myself, and I've watched a few tutorial videos that seem straightforward. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Hey! Your build looks solid overall. Just a recommendation, typically around 40% of your budget should go towards the graphics card for gaming, so you might want to reassess that. If you're aiming for around $3K, consider looking at the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D and a beefier GPU like the MSI RTX 5070 Ti if you can swing it. Not a bad setup at all! You’ve done some solid research. One tip is to potentially swap the AIO cooler for a good air cooler, like the Phantom Spirit; it could save you some cash and still keep your CPU cool. Also, a PSU upgrade to 850W might be a wise choice for future-proofing. I went for a 1kW in a similar build and it's been great!

Looks great for gaming! But if you’re in the US, you could tweak a few parts for better performance at a lower cost.
