I was in the middle of playing a game when my computer froze. I could still hear my friend talking, but he couldn't hear me, so I had to restart my PC using the power button. After the restart, everything seemed normal, but when I tried to use the Windows key, it didn't respond. I tried win+g, which worked and opened the game bar, but when I attempted to access settings, the window would open for a split second and then close. I can use my PC normally, but without being able to access settings or the Windows interface. When I'm in a game and want to switch monitors, the Windows key does work to change displays, but I can't pull anything up. I attempted multiple restarts, including a hard reset and booting in safe mode, but nothing has fixed the issue. I'm curious if Windows might have become corrupt somehow, but I'm not sure how that would have happened. Any advice would be appreciated! My system specs are: 13600kf processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AMD 6800 GPU, and storage consisting of a 2TB 990 Pro and a 1TB 990 Evo Plus.

Good to hear that win + r works! I ran the commands suggested, and they reported no issues with my files, but I executed the restore health command anyway, and it didn't fix anything. Seems like the problem persists.
By the way, you should run DISM first before SFC. Running SFC without the necessary preparations might not do much good. Make sure to have DISM restore health done first. It might resolve some underlying issues.
It sounds like something in your Windows installation got messed up after that hard restart, particularly related to the Start Menu. I’d recommend trying to open Command Prompt or PowerShell as an admin through another method and run the commands 'sfc /scannow' and 'dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth'. Also, does "win + r" work for you? If it does, just type 'cmd' in the run box to get it up.
