I received a photo from someone's Android phone to my iPhone. Is there any way to check if the location data is still attached to the picture?

If you saved the photo and don’t see any location info when you swipe up, it likely means the data was stripped off during the transfer. If you send images to Android users, they might face the same issue unless the original file is sent intact without any modifications.
It really depends on how the photo was sent. If it was through SMS or MMS, the location data is usually removed. You can check the image properties on your iPhone to see if anything like location or metadata is still there. Just keep in mind that even if you can retrieve some info, the sender might have disabled the location tag before sending it.
