I recently joined my mom in sharing an AirTag that she placed on our cat's collar to keep track of her if she ever gets lost. I'm wondering, can my mom also see my location, or can she only access the AirTag's location on the cat?

It sounds like there’s a bit of confusion! If you're both using separate Apple accounts and just sharing the AirTag, your mom won't see your location. However, if you were to share your location directly or use the same account, then yes, she'd see where you are. To check who can see your location, just go to the Find My app and look under the people tab.
Your mom can only see the location of the AirTag on the cat's collar, just like you can. Sharing an AirTag doesn't compromise your location privacy at all.
