Is the Ryzen 5700X3D a Good Buy for Gaming?

I'm looking to boost my FPS in Escape from Tarkov and currently have a Ryzen 5 3600 with an AM4 motherboard. I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 5700X3D but unsure if spending 300-400€ is worth it, especially since switching to an AM5 platform would require new DDR5 RAM and more costs. Should I go for the 5700X3D or look for alternatives?

I’d say only if you can snag one used for a fair price. Right now, I'd avoid getting it brand new because the prices are pretty inflated. For just a bit more, you could get the 7800X3D or even the 9800X3D, which offer better value. If budget is tight, maybe consider a cheaper option like the 5600X while you wait for better deals.

Yeah, DDR5 RAM is super pricey right now, so going AM5 might not be worth it.
