I'm looking to suggest some good quality courses or certifications for my software development team. My company has encouraged us to grow our skills, but I've come across a lot of opinions online that say certifications might not be worth the investment. I typically learn through free resources like YouTube or W3Schools, and I've seen some recommendations for AWS and Microsoft Azure certifications, but our company isn't keen on cloud migration. I'm open to other options but I'm struggling to find suitable courses to propose. Any suggestions would be really helpful!

In terms of certifications, I've heard great things about Claude prompting by Anthropic. It's getting good feedback for its relevance and usefulness in the real world.

It's totally understandable to be cautious about certifications, especially if your team isn't jumping on the cloud bandwagon. However, don't underestimate the value of in-person events or live workshops. They often provide networking opportunities and hands-on experience that online courses can lack.

Have you thought about attending conferences like Pycon? I asked my manager if I could use our educational budget to go, and it was an incredible experience—not only did I learn a ton, but it was like a mini vacation for tech enthusiasts.

You might want to check out some courses on Udemy. They have a variety of options and I've personally enjoyed a Java course there. Plus, I've learned basic SQL and Mongo through other Udemy classes. It's a great way to level up your skills without breaking the bank.
