I recently upgraded to an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D and I'm curious about my idle temperatures. I've built my system with some solid components, including an NZXT Kraken 240 RGB liquid cooler. My previous chip was an Intel i5 13600KF, which idled at about 10 degrees cooler. I'm seeing some idle temps that seem a bit higher than expected, especially around 40-50°C in Windows. When I checked the BIOS, the temps shot up to around 60°C, which is concerning, especially with the fans running quite loudly. Would switching to a more powerful cooler like the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 help with these temperatures?

Yeah, those temps sound just fine for a Ryzen. It’s typical for AMD processors to idle a bit higher because of the SOC die consuming power.
