Looking for CPU Upgrade Advice

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my CPU but I want to keep my current RAM since it seems like prices aren't dropping anytime soon. Right now, I've got a Ryzen 5 5600X, and with my Radeon 9070XT, I'm noticing a significant bottleneck in a few games I play.

I'm leaning towards getting a Ryzen 9 5900X because I found a decent price on it, but I'm also considering the Intel i5-14600K, which would require a new motherboard and be a bit pricier. What I really want to know is if I'd see better performance with the Intel CPU. Am I overlooking any other better options?

I think a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or 5800X3D would definitely work well for you! Those should provide a good upgrade without breaking the bank too much. Just keep in mind that if you’re playing at higher resolutions, like 1440p or 4K, the bottleneck might not be as significant with the 5600X as it would be at 1080p.

Yeah, that makes sense. Plus, those CPUs can be a bit tricky to find right now, and even when available, their prices can be off the charts.
