I'm running out of desk space and need a solution to share my keyboard and mouse between my Windows 11 PC and my Linux Mint PC. Each computer has its own monitor, so I don't need a KVM switch that includes monitor support. Is a KVM what I'm looking for, or is there a different way to just share the keyboard and mouse?

You're looking for a KVM switch if you want to toggle between your two PCs without unplugging anything. If there's a button or switch to change which computer you’re using and both are connected at the same time, then that's definitely a KVM. If you’re disconnecting one device to connect another, then that would be more of a docking station.
If both your PCs are on the same network, consider trying out Deskflow. It’s a software solution that allows you to share a keyboard and mouse over the network, and it fully supports Wayland for Linux. It’s a good open-source option if you're looking to go that route!
I recently got a KVM switch that should fit your needs. You can check it out here: [KVM Switch on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CG1W5K7C). However, keep in mind that if you need to connect two monitors, this one might not work since it's designed for one monitor for two computers.
