How can I run .exe files in Endeavor without getting banned?

I'm trying to figure out how to run non-Steam .exe files on Endeavor. Should I add a non-Steam game in Steam to force Proton? I'm a bit worried that I might get banned for using games that aren't officially bought. Should I consider using Bottles or Lutris for this? How would I go about it?

I've used both Heroic and Lutris for different games, and they both perform really well. It just depends on what you’re trying to play.

Adding it as a non-Steam game is definitely a straightforward approach!

Steam doesn’t really mind what you run. If you're still nervous, I found Bottles works quite well for non-Steam games.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I’ll go with Bottles.

You might want to check out the Faugus launcher; it works great for running .exe files. Also, the Heroic Game Launcher is another option that's been recommended.
