I'm having some frustrating problems with my Windows 11 PC regarding HDMI connections. It seems to only accept HDMI sources that are monitors. I thought it was just an issue with my VR headset at first, but now my capture card is experiencing the same problem. The audio functions fine on both devices, but neither of them is recognized as a video source. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, including swapping HDMI cables, reinstalling drivers, and checking all the settings, but nothing seems to work. If anyone has ideas on what could be wrong or suggestions on further tests I can run, I'd greatly appreciate it! Here's a rundown of what I've already done:
* Restarted the computer
* Unplugged and replugged everything
* Switched HDMI ports and cables
* Reinstalled drivers via Steam VR
* Used my headset as a monitor (both mirror and extension)
* Created and refreshed a new source on OBS for the capture card
I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out!

I know this might not sound ideal, but it could be worth testing your devices on a different PC if you have access to one. You might find out whether it's truly an issue with your PC or the devices themselves. Also, make sure to run Windows updates just in case there's an underlying problem with the OS. Hope it helps!
It sounds like a tricky situation with your HDMI inputs. One thing to consider is that certain PCs don't fully support HDMI 'in' for things like capture cards or VR headsets due to DRM issues. Have you checked if there are any specific settings in your BIOS related to video capture? Also, sometimes, updating your graphics drivers directly from the manufacturer's website can help. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I'll checking both the BIOS settings and see if there are any graphics driver updates available.
