I'm in a tough spot deciding between the 9070 XT and the 5070 for pairing with my 9600X. I want to game at 2K resolution with ray tracing and also handle productivity tasks like video editing and using Blender. The 9070 XT is $20 more expensive, but I'm unsure if the performance difference is worth it. What do you all think?

If you're going to be using Blender a lot, the 5070 is faster in those specific tasks. Nvidia does shine in productivity, especially with CUDA cores, so if serious video editing and 3D work are on your agenda, the 5070 might be worth considering.
Looks like the 9070 XT comes out on top for most gaming scenarios. It has more VRAM (16GB vs. 12GB) and generally better ray tracing capabilities. If gaming is your priority, that's the way to go!
Honestly, if you're leaning heavily into video editing and rendering, the 5070 could give you an edge since it generally performs better in those areas, especially for bigger files. Just weigh how much you’ll actually use that versus gaming.
That makes sense, but isn't the extra VRAM in the 9070 XT a big advantage for video editing as well?
As a solid gaming GPU, the 9070 XT is excellent for 2K with ray tracing. It delivers very good performance in most modern games. It’s also quite capable of running tasks without needing to upscale too much, which can be a concern with the 5070.

True, but for general gaming and ray tracing, the 9070 XT seems like a stronger choice, right?
