Hey everyone! I signed up for a club event where I need to create a website, but I've been procrastinating and now the deadline is looming (due on 3/25). I'm looking for any free or affordable tools to help me learn coding. Any suggestions?

If you’re interested in going deeper, the Odin Project has gotten great reviews! But honestly, for a school project, watching a couple of YouTube tutorials for a couple of hours should set you up nicely. HTML and CSS are straightforward, and with practice, you can have something decent ready by your deadline.

You've still got time to pick up some basic HTML and CSS to put something together. Check out w3schools.com; it’s a great resource for getting started without feeling overwhelmed. Remember, you'll likely be building a static HTML page, so don’t aim too high with functionality given the time you’ve got.

It would help if you could clarify what features you need for your site and whether you need to code everything from scratch. For a basic website with content, images, and links, HTML and CSS are your go-to. If you're okay with not doing it totally from scratch, consider using WordPress. It's free and super popular, and you can learn to configure it on your local machine which could work before your deadline.

For a solid introduction to HTML and CSS, you might want to check out CodeAcademy. When I first started, it took me just a couple of days to get through their course. It could give you the foundational knowledge you need for your project very quickly.
