I'm currently using an IPS 1080p 144Hz monitor with my RTX 3060 12GB and Ryzen 7 5800X. My old screen just broke, and I want to upgrade to a QD OLED 2K 240Hz display. Is it really worth the investment for my build?

If my 1070 Ti can handle 1440p, your 3060 should be able to manage it too. But honestly, I wouldn’t spend extra on a high refresh rate monitor unless you're really going to use it.
If you’re looking for an amazing display for gaming and movies, I'd say go for the OLED. Once you experience it, you might not want to switch back to other types of screens. Just consider whether your RTX 3060 can handle 1440p at 240Hz, depending on the games you play and your settings.
For just watching videos, an OLED is perfectly fine. But if gaming is your main focus, you might want to think about upgrading your GPU too.
Upgrading to a QD OLED will definitely give you a nicer visual experience! Just keep in mind that 1440p will demand more from your GPU than 1080p, but the upgrade in visual quality is worth it in my opinion.
2K OLEDs are definitely worth it these days, especially with last-gen models being heavily discounted as new ones are announced. You can score some great deals right now!
I just found the Samsung G61SD for 450 euros, which seems like a steal!

I mostly play single-player games, so I doubt I'll actually hit 240Hz with it.
