Help! My PC is Stuck on the ‘Getting Windows Ready’ Screen After a Restart

I've run into a problem with my PC—it's stuck on the 'Getting Windows Ready, Don't turn off your computer' screen for almost two hours after I clicked Restart. Last night, I had some issues shutting it down, but it seemed to fix itself and work normally afterward. However, today it was really slow to start up, and when I tried to restart it because Steam wasn't loading, I got stuck on this screen since around 3 PM. I really need help figuring this out!

It might be related to your storage type. I had a similar experience with an old hard drive that started acting up. It was super slow and eventually wouldn't even start up without going through a long repair process. Once I removed that drive, everything got back to normal. You might want to check if your storage is having issues too.

Do you know what kind of storage you have? It could really impact performance if it's failing.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like either storage or OS issues. You might need to look into that!
