What should I do about a pixelated screen after a battery replacement?

I recently had my battery replaced at the Apple store in Los Cerritos. After charging my phone to 90% at home, I noticed that my screen became pixelated. Before the battery replacement, my phone was functioning normally, but they returned it to me with only 5% battery. When I went back to the store, they told me that since the phone passed diagnostics, there was nothing they could do, and it would cost $395 to fix the screen. I'm looking for advice on how to handle this situation.

Try contacting phone support and request to escalate the issue. It’s possible they may have caused damage to the screen during the battery replacement process. Often, screens can get damaged when they come apart. They may owe you a replacement.

I reached out to Apple support, but they just referred me back to the store, and the store gave me the same response as before. I'm feeling really stuck.

You should definitely call the store and ask to speak with a manager. Explain everything that happened to make sure they're fully aware of the situation. It could help to escalate the issue if needed.

I did talk to a manager yesterday, but they insisted it’s not their issue since it passed diagnostics.
