I'm looking to upgrade my PC and I'm torn between upgrading my GPU or adding more RAM. I'm considering either getting an NVIDIA 5070Ti or adding 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Currently, my setup includes an MSI 550M MOTAR MAX motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, an NVIDIA 3060 graphics card, and 16GB of DDR4 memory. I have about $1000 to spend, but I'm unsure what would give me the best value for my gaming performance. Any advice on which upgrade would be better?

Your system isn't compatible with DDR5 RAM anyway. If you're mainly gaming, I suggest the 5070Ti since graphics will improve your experience significantly. For productivity tasks, you might want to look at a 4070Ti, especially if you can grab the Super version for extra VRAM.

Looking at your current build, I definitely lean towards upgrading the GPU. DDR5 will require a new motherboard and CPU, which can bulk up costs. Plus, the current pricing on the 5070Ti can give you great performance upgrades for gaming, especially if you play demanding titles.

Honestly, I think you're better off with a GPU upgrade. DDR5 would mean new components, which will take a lot of your budget. Plus, the 5070Ti has been hit or miss due to pricing, so weigh that out. If you're just casually gaming, stick with your current setup for a bit longer and plan bigger upgrades down the line.
