Hey everyone! I have a bit of a tech dilemma that I need help with. Recently, during a power outage, my HP Pavilion laptop was charging and when the power came back, I found that it wasn't charging anymore. I assumed my charger might be damaged, so I tried a different one—a 90W charger that works on my old laptop, but it doesn't seem to charge my current one. Now, when I connect it, the power light blinks three times at the charging port. My main concern is whether this blinking light indicates that the battery has no power left or if there's another issue. Does this mean my charging port is functioning properly or could it be damaged? Thanks in advance for any insights!

The blinking light could indicate a few things, usually error codes vary by HP model. The first step is to check the documentation for your specific model on HP's support site. It might give you clues about the three blinks. If you can't find it in the manual, let me know your model number and I can help look it up for you!
It’s definitely worth getting a computer technician to check the voltage coming from your chargers. They use a voltmeter to check if the output is sufficient. If your 200W charger is damaged, that could be part of the problem. Since the 90W works on another laptop, it's likely it’s incompatible with yours, or there could be another issue with your laptop.

I tried looking up the manual, but it's a bit tricky on my phone. Not sure where to find the specific info!
