I'm about to buy my first MacBook and I'm torn between the new MacBook Neo and the MacBook Air M4. I'm looking for advice and suggestions! My primary uses will be streaming, checking emails, and handling day-to-day tasks, so I'm not planning on using it for anything too intensive.

The Air M4 is going to outperform in many areas. Keep in mind, the Neo lacks a backlit keyboard and only the higher storage version comes with Touch ID. Plus, it only has one USB 3 port which can be limiting since the other one runs at USB 2 speeds.
You might want to consider the return policy; most places offer about 14 days. Grab the Neo since it should be fine for your usual activities. Make sure to test it out, and if it doesn’t meet your needs, you can always return it!

I’d lean towards getting the Neo, especially the version with double the storage. The price gap for the Air is significant, and while it has some nice extras, they might not be essential for your needs.
