Hi there! I haven't upgraded my desktop in about 5 to 6 years and I'm looking to add some new parts. My goal is to set up either a double or triple monitor system and ensure that it runs games smoothly without any lag. I'm open to recommendations for upgrading with a single monitor setup too. Here are my current specs for reference:

- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz
- Video Card: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x67DF)
- RAM: 16GB
- OS: Windows 11

Let me know if you need more info!

If you're looking for the best gaming experience, definitely consider starting from scratch. A complete build will give you more flexibility and power. Also, the X3D CPUs are popular for gaming right now; just make sure to get one with a higher core count for the best performance!

Honestly, I’d skip upgrading individual parts and just build a new rig. That i7-7700 is pretty outdated and could limit any new GPU you might want for a multi-monitor setup. Plus, parts are actually pretty affordable right now, so it's a good time to invest in a whole new system!

Another thing to look into is your GPU. Make sure to check its specs and how it'll handle multiple displays. Newer graphics cards can change the game for your setup!

Before you dive into upgrades, what resolution are you aiming for with those monitors? Depending on that, different components might make sense. And if you're serious about 'no lag', go for a higher core count CPU, especially if you'll be gaming heavily.
