Advice on Upgrading My 5-Year-Old CPU and GPU

I've been using the same build for about five years now, and with the recent gaming titles like Baldur's Gate 3 and Deadlock, it's really starting to show its age. I'm looking for some solid upgrades to improve performance but want to stay within a budget of around $350-400, though I might stretch it a bit if the upgrades are worthwhile. My current setup is: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, GPU: Nvidia GTX 1650, Motherboard: ASRock B550M-HDV Micro ATX, and I'm using a 650W PSU. Any suggestions on potential upgrades and good places to buy them would be greatly appreciated!

Before upgrading anything, definitely update your motherboard's BIOS. That’s crucial! After that, your best bet would be going for that Ryzen 5 5600 and maybe an RX 7600. It'll fit your budget and make a significant difference.

For a solid upgrade, look into getting a Ryzen 5 5600 or a Ryzen 7 5800X. Pair it with an RX 7600 or something like the RTX 3060 Ti, and you’ll definitely see a boost in performance! eBay has some good prices if you're willing to check there.

If you're considering GPU options, you can find RTX 2080 Ti's or RX 6800 XTs for around $400. If you add a bit more, the RX 6900 XT would give you an even better performance jump. Just make sure your PSU can handle the upgrade!

Make sure the upgrades suit your gaming needs. If you’re mostly playing CPU-intensive games, getting a power CPU like the Ryzen 7 5800X would be wise. Then, just keep saving for a better GPU later. There are also used options like a GTX 2070 that you can grab for around $150.
