I've been hearing from multiple clients that their Dell laptops have suddenly stopped charging over the past couple of weeks. One client even had to replace the motherboard under warranty, but the charging issue has reappeared. It feels like this might be related to a firmware or BIOS problem. Has anyone else experienced this or heard from Dell if it's a wider issue?

I experienced something similar where the charging circuit needed a reset. I disconnected everything, held the power button for about 10 seconds, and it worked. Of course, hardware damage has happened in some cases too.
What model Dell laptops are you using? We primarily use Dell and haven't encountered this issue yet, even with a mix of different docks. Most users disconnect daily without problems. Just curious if it's model-specific!
USB-C ports can be quite problematic! I've noticed how Lenovo has made their USB-C ports easily replaceable, which is a nice feature. What do you think about switching to Lenovo for that reason?
I've had a similar issue before when our company cheaped out and got knock-off chargers. They started failing after a few months and caused some serious problems. I learned the hard way that investing in genuine Dell chargers is worth it to avoid headaches!
I've dealt with some chargers going bad, but not battery issues as such. Usually, just unplugging and replugging the battery seems to reset the system and fix the problem.
We've seen issues with charging when an update no longer supports the docks. That's something to keep in mind if you're using docking stations.

I heard the 22TB4’s have replaceable USB-C modules, which might help if that's where the problem is.
