I just finished building my first PC using some second-hand components, but I'm having trouble getting it to boot. The setup includes a B650 Tuff Gaming WiFi Motherboard, an AMD 9600X processor, and Kingston FURY DDR5 RAM (2 x 8GB, 6000). Everything seems to be powered on, but the DRAM light on the motherboard is constantly orange, and I can't access the BIOS screen. I've heard it might take some time for the motherboard to recognize the RAM, so I waited for two hours (with the RAM in slots A2 and B2), but the orange light is still on, and no BIOS screen appears. I even removed one RAM stick and tried booting again (with the remaining stick still in A2) and waited another hour, but the problem persists. I've swapped the RAM sticks around and tried again without success. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It sounds like you might need to flash the latest BIOS. Sometimes, used motherboards don't support newer CPUs out of the box, so getting the right BIOS version is crucial. Check your motherboard manual for the process: usually, you download the BIOS file from the manufacturer's website, extract it onto a USB drive, rename it properly, and then use the BIOS flash button while the power supply is on but without pressing the power button on the case. Also, make sure all the power connections to the motherboard are secure.
Thanks! I'll definitely try that. If there was a CPU problem, shouldn't the CPU light be on as well? Just asking since I’m a bit new to this.

I was thinking the same when I saw 'second-hand parts'. BIOS updates for older boards might be necessary for compatibility with newer CPUs. It's less of a concern with new parts, but definitely something to check on older hardware.
