Hey folks, I'm running into some issues with my new SSD. My old SSD failed, so I got this new one and initially set it up using Disk Management on another laptop to enable it. However, when I returned to my old laptop with the broken SSD, the new drive isn't showing up at all—neither in the BIOS nor when I'm trying to install Windows. The BIOS displays a message saying 'nvme ssd doesn't support hdd password.' Any help would be appreciated!

I have a hunch your laptop might be using an Intel CPU? If that's the case, you probably need the Intel VMD driver to recognize the SSD during Windows installation. Look that up and see if that helps!
It's saying it's unsupported on my PC, so I can't direct it to the SSD.
It seems like you shouldn't have needed to use Disk Management to enable your new drive before installing it. To troubleshoot this issue, try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. That often helps in recognizing new drives. Let me know how that goes!
I already did that; it was the first thing I tried when I got the drive. I’ll reset the BIOS again and keep you updated.
I tried that and ended up at the Windows installation page using a USB setup, but the drive is still not showing.

Are you suggesting I enable the driver in Disk Management on my other PC first, then transfer the Intel VMD driver to my laptop for the installation?
