My PC Keeps Shutting Down After a Few Minutes—Any Ideas?

I built my PC a few months ago, but I accidentally dropped something on the first motherboard, damaging the CPU pins. It could only boot with one stick of RAM, so I used it like that for a while. Recently, it started randomly shutting off after a few minutes. I replaced the motherboard, which allowed it to boot with two sticks of RAM, but it still shuts off shortly after. I researched and thought it might be a power supply issue, so I replaced the PSU, but the problem persists. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you check if it shuts down when using just one stick of RAM? Sometimes having faulty RAM can cause these shutdowns. Also, ensure all your cables are properly connected, including the CPU power cable.

Sounds frustrating! Based on your symptoms, I wonder if your CPU might be overheating. Have you checked the temperatures while it's running? Also, doing a memory test could help rule out any RAM issues. It's odd for it to shut down so quickly unless there's a temp or power issue going on.

Yeah, I'd double-check the CPU cooling setup. If it shuts down after just a few minutes, overheating seems like a likely culprit.
