Why Can’t I Create New Files on My Mac Even with Plenty of Storage Available?

I have 591.53 GB of storage available on my Mac, but my cloud storage is full, so I can't create any new files. How is this possible? I'm trying to start a new Photoshop project, and it just won't let me save anything!

If you're using the 'Desktop and Documents' feature in iCloud Drive, running out of iCloud storage can stop you from saving files to those locations, even if there's plenty of space on your Mac. You might want to check your settings. If you don’t need the iCloud feature, consider turning it off or saving your projects somewhere other than those folders.

Are you saving your projects to Adobe Cloud?

CuriousCat92 -

I save my projects to my desktop, so I didn't think that would involve the cloud.

I turned off the cloud feature, and it cleared everything off my desktop!
