Hey everyone! I have a friend who's looking to build a new PC mainly for gaming, and I want to help him out. It's been a few years since I was really into PC building, so I'm hoping to get some fresh suggestions on the components he's picked so far. We're trying to stay within the budget listed on PCPartPicker, which you can check out here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wfBBmL. Also, just a heads up, he's located in Germany, and we've decided against 4K gaming since I believe getting a 144Hz monitor is more important, especially considering how expensive 4K setups can be. Thanks in advance for your advice!

I think swapping out the AIO cooler for an Arctic Freezer III 360 Pro could save you some cash while delivering better performance. For RAM, if you're aiming for optimal performance, consider a 6000 CL30 kit. As for the GPU, going with an RX 9070 XT or an RTX 5070 Ti would definitely give your friend an edge.
With the X3D cache, I don't really think the difference between CL30 and CL36 will be significant unless CL30 is cheaper.
Just curious, what's the intention behind choosing such a high-end CPU? Gaming is the main focus right? I actually found a build that might work better for your friend's budget here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FmK9W9. It includes an RTX 5080 and could save you around $300 on bundles from Newegg!
Yeah, gaming is the main purpose for sure!
Yup, gaming is what it's all about!
Solid components overall! The 9850x3D is a fantastic choice for gaming. If you're looking to trim costs, a good thermalright cooler could save a few bucks, but that LCD screen does look slick. For the GPU, I'd definitely lean towards the 9070XT over the 5070 for more VRAM at the same price.

Absolutely, but I heard your friend is all in for Corsair components since he's got a few already, so aesthetics might be a big deal for him!
