I'm currently using an ASUS XG27ACDNG monitor with a GeForce RTX 4070 Super graphics card via DisplayPort. I'm looking to add a second monitor that I can use for both gaming and for my work laptop. Is it possible to connect my ASUS monitor to my work laptop using USB-C and daisy chain the monitors? If so, what cables would I need? Also, would I have to directly connect the second monitor to my 4070 as well? My top pick for the second monitor is the Dell U2724D, but I'm considering the U2724DE instead to save some cash. Any help would be appreciated!

You should seriously consider getting a dock for your laptop. It's the easiest way to connect both monitors. Just a heads up, though: your current monitor doesn't support daisy chaining, so a dock is the cleanest solution. Make sure the dock supports the refresh rate and resolution you want for gaming—some cheaper docks can really bottleneck performance.
Just to clarify, are you suggesting I need a dock just for the laptop? I’m worried about connecting both my desktop and laptop through the dock for both monitors. Some people say connecting a GPU to a dock can cause issues, so I want to make sure I'm doing this right. Thanks for the advice!
