Moving an Old SSD to a New PC: Why Aren’t My Devices Working?

I recently transferred my old SSD to a new PC build. It boots up without issues, but I've noticed that the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and audio aren't functioning, despite the speakers being connected. Additionally, my GPU isn't recognized in the task manager, and when I try to launch a game, it says I don't have a compatible GPU. I've updated the motherboard's BIOS, but that didn't resolve anything. What steps should I take to fix these problems?

It's pretty common to encounter these sorts of issues when moving an OS to new hardware. Your old SSD has drivers that are specific to your previous setup, which is why the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and audio aren't working. I recommend doing a clean install of your operating system. That way, you'll get all the right drivers for your new components, and you’ll likely have a smoother experience overall. Just back up your important files first!

I completely agree! A clean install is usually the best way to go for performance. Plus, it saves you from chasing down driver conflicts later.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely consider a clean install.

Make sure to download and install the latest drivers for your new motherboard and GPU from the manufacturer's website. The drivers on your old SSD are outdated and won't work with the new hardware, causing those issues with the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and audio not functioning right.
