Hey all! I'm in the process of assembling a new PC and need some guidance on selecting the motherboard. Here's what I've got so far: I'm planning to use a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM (2x16GB, 6000MHz), an RTX 5060 Ti GPU, and an Acer Predator GM7 1TB NVMe storage. I'm trying to choose between four motherboards: the Gigabyte B850 AORUS Elite WiFi 7, the Gigabyte X870 Eagle WiFi 7, the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk WiFi, and the MSI X870E Gaming Plus WiFi. They are all priced similarly where I live, but I can't decide if I should go for the extra features of an X870E board or stick to one of the solid B850 options, which seem to offer great value and strong VRMs. My main use will be gaming, some video editing, and general office tasks. I might also dabble in local image generation and LLMs, and I often have around 100 Brave tabs open at once! I've seen conflicting reviews online, especially regarding the MSI B850 Tomahawk, and I've had bad luck with two MSI gaming laptops before. Originally, I planned to order the Gigabyte X870 Eagle, but it's out of stock. The B850 AORUS Elite looks great, but I keep hearing complaints about Gigabyte's software and bloatware. If I stick with an X-series board, the X870E is still an option. Honestly, I'm feeling a bit lost and leaning towards the B850 AORUS Elite. What do you all think would be the best choice for my setup?

I think you can't go wrong with the B850 AORUS Elite. It's a solid board and more than enough for your needs. If you really don't need extra features like more PCIe lanes and expansion options, then stick with the B850 board—it's a good value!

Thanks for the input! I haven't purchased the GPU yet, but I want something decent within my budget. I was considering it but keep second-guessing just in case I might want to upgrade or overclock later. What's your experience been like with the board?
