I'm considering purchasing a pre-built gaming rig that costs £1500. Here's what's included:
- FRACTAL NORTH TG Gaming Case (Black)
- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core CPU (Up to 5.2GHz/104MB with 3D V-CACHE/AM5)
- GIGABYTE X870 EAGLE WIFI7 Motherboard (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7)
- 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM (5600MHz CL40)
- 2TB SAMSUNG 9100 PRO M.2 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD (up to 14,700MB/s read, 13,400MB/s write)
- CORSAIR 1000W RMX SERIES ATX 3.1 Modular Power Supply (Cybenetics Gold)
- CORSAIR NAUTILUS 240 RS ARGB CPU Cooler
- Arctic MX-4 Extreme Thermal Conductivity Compound
- Onboard 6 Channel High Def Audio
- Onboard 2.5Gbe LAN Port with min. 2 USB 3.0 & 2 USB 2.0 ports at the back and min. 2 front ports.
Do you think this is a fair price for what I'm getting?

I’d recommend getting dual channel RAM for better performance instead of that single stick. Plus, you might want to reconsider the need for a Gen 5 SSD and an AIO cooler—they might be overkill for many setups.
What’s a Gen 5 drive?
Yeah, this seems overpriced, especially with that RAM setup. Single-channel RAM can be a dealbreaker for performance, so I’d be cautious about this offer.
Sounds like they’re just trying to cut costs.
You should definitely check it out on PCPartPicker. It’ll help you see if the prices stack up and if there are better options.
Honestly, not a great deal with such mediocre RAM included. What would you folks consider good RAM for gaming?
Overall, it looks solid, but I’d suggest upgrading to a better RAM configuration. Also, maybe look at getting the 4TB version of that NVMe drive since games are getting larger nowadays.
Do you think the current price is too high?
I'm not sure why they included that; I just asked for a build that would work well with my 5090.
