I've recently upgraded my motherboard from an A320 to an MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS, hoping to enhance my gaming experience. My system has an RTX 3060, an R5 5600, and 32 GB of RAM. I know that changing the motherboard alone shouldn't impact my FPS, but surprisingly, my performance has suffered instead. In games like BF 6, I'm noticing significant drops in FPS during intense scenes, going down to 35-45 FPS, which never happened before the upgrade. I've checked everything: Re-Bar and XMP are both on, and I've reinstalled drivers, updated the BIOS, and chipset. I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. Any ideas?

It’s really frustrating when upgrades don’t go as planned! I’d suggest double-checking your BIOS settings as well and making sure everything is properly configured. Sometimes, a small oversight can cause performance hits.
Have you done a clean install of Windows after the motherboard replacement? Sometimes switching motherboards can cause driver conflicts, especially since the new board might require different drivers than the old one. A fresh install can often solve these kinds of performance issues.
Sounds like you might be dealing with a driver conflict. Since the new motherboard has different components, leftover drivers from the old one could be messing things up. I highly recommend giving Windows a fresh install to eliminate that problem.
Man, that totally sucks! It's weird, right? You’d think upgrading would only help. Hope you figure it out!
