Trouble with Audio Output in Meetings

I'm having a strange problem with a client's audio during meetings on platforms like Teams and Zoom. He can't hear any sound when he first connects to a meeting, although everyone else can hear him just fine. The device is a Yoga Slim 7, and it only has one audio output option since he isn't using a dock or external speakers, just the built-in ones. The system is updated and the audio controller is a Qualcomm Aqstic Audio Adapter.

What's extra odd is that each app has its own workaround. For Zoom, switching the spatial sound setting seems to fix the audio issue. For Teams, re-joining the meeting after leaving makes the audio work. I've checked all the default audio settings and tried various solutions but nothing seems to work. I've also reinstalled the audio driver, disabled exclusive mode, and hardware acceleration, but to no avail. When I tested with headphones, the audio played correctly through the laptop speakers when the meeting started. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried reinstalling the audio drivers directly from Lenovo? They typically have a few older versions you can test if the latest one isn’t functioning properly.

I attempted to use the Lenovo Vantage app, but it didn’t offer any reinstall options, and I couldn't find the drivers for manual download on their site. I went the uninstall and restart route via device manager instead.

Have you considered disabling audio enhancements in Windows? It might help with the audio output issues you're experiencing.

I disabled audio enhancements, as well as Exclusive mode and hardware acceleration, but there was no change.
