Advice for Building My First Gaming PC

Hey everyone! I'm embarking on the journey of building my very first gaming PC, and I'd love to hear any advice or recommendations you might have. A checklist of essentials before I start purchasing parts would be super helpful too.

I'm aiming to put together a mid-range PC that can handle graphic-intensive games smoothly, and my budget is around $2500. Some games on my radar include Until Dawn, Silent Hill F, Marvel Rivals, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Also, I already have a monitor (Ultragear G4, 24 inches). Here's a link to my current build for reference: [Current Build](https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/kcH4Cw).

When building a gaming PC, I usually suggest spending about 40% of your budget on the graphics card. You seem to be focusing too much on parts that can be swapped out later, like that cooler and CPU. Instead, consider something like an AMD Ryzen X3D CPU and a Radeon 9070XT—this combo will perform better for your budget without overspending. Thanks for the tips! I didn't realize I was overspending on certain components like the cooling. I'll definitely look into upgrading my graphics card for better game performance!

You're spending too much on the cooler, the RAM, the case, and even the fans. I can help you adjust your build to get a 5070 and 2TB of storage while saving about $80. Plus, you can still get great aesthetics in the case.

Great point! I was worried about overheating, which is why I went for all those fans, but I guess there's a balance. How’s the performance of those 5070s in actual gameplay?

Thanks for the input! I'm going to rethink my build to include your suggestions. A better graphics card and more storage would be fantastic for my gaming needs!

I don't know much about Australian prices, but you could likely save money by using a 750W PSU and opting for an air cooler instead. I'd also suggest re-evaluating the 5060—consider a used 4000 series card or stepping up to a 9060XT or 5060 Ti for better performance. It makes a difference!

Right? There are definitely better options within that budget that don't skimp on performance. Going for a 9070XT and X3D is totally doable for $2500!
