Hey everyone! I have an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with an MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard and an RTX 5080 with 16GB of RAM. Currently, I've got 48GB total (2x24GB) of CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM running at 6000MHz. I'm considering adding 2 more sticks of CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5, but these would be 32GB each at the same speed. Would this configuration work for a total of 112GB of RAM? Since they're from the same brand and have the same speed, is it okay to mix different sizes?

Mixing up RAM sizes like this is generally a no-go. Different capacities can lead to issues, especially with DDR5 on an AMD platform. If you try this, be prepared for possible boot failures and trouble getting stable speeds.
It could work, but don't count on it being smooth sailing. There's a good chance the system won't POST due to the mismatched sizes. If you do manage to get it to work, be ready for potential stability issues and less than ideal performance.
Honestly, mixing RAM can be a bit of a gamble. While it might work, you might end up having to lower your speeds significantly—like down to 3600MHz. It's something to think about before making the switch.
Definitely a risk. Even if they’re same brand and speed, different capacities can create problems. If you're looking for 64GB, it might be easier to just go with that amount and sell the 48GB sticks instead.
