Looking for AI Tools to Create Databases from PDF Assignments

Hey folks! I'm currently in my second year as a software engineering student, and I'm juggling a lot of assignments for my database course. The requirements for these assignments are provided in PDF format and include details on the necessary tables, fields, relationships, etc. I'm curious if there are any AI tools available that can read these PDFs and generate a database automatically, ideally in Microsoft Access .accdb format. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

While AI tools are improving, don’t expect them to fully replace the need for your input just yet. They might help with understanding requirements or generating some SQL queries, but creating the actual database structure will still involve some manual effort on your part. I'd recommend tackling the assignment yourself; it’ll be much more beneficial in the long run!

I get the urge to use AI for these tasks, but be careful. It’s super tempting, but if you rely on AI to do your work, you're missing out on learning crucial skills. This isn't just about passing; it's about really understanding databases. If you try to outsource that, you'll end up regretting it later.

Exactly! Better to struggle through it now than to face difficulties later when you actually need those skills.

It sounds like you’re looking for a shortcut, but honestly, I wouldn't go down that path. Most AI tools out there still struggle with accurately creating Access databases from PDFs. You might have some luck with ChatGPT or similar, but you'll likely end up having to make adjustments manually anyway. Plus, getting familiar with Access's relationship designer isn't as hard as it seems – it might actually be better for your learning!

Totally agree! Access isn't too complicated once you dive in. Plus, getting a handle on it will pay off in your exams.
