I recently got a Motorola Razr Ultra and after about a week, I accidentally fell asleep with it. When I woke up, the phone was really hot and had turned off. I checked the battery temperature with AccuBattery, and it showed around 105-107 degrees Fahrenheit. I suspect it was at that temperature for a few hours. I'm wondering if this exposure to heat could have harmed the battery or any other parts of the phone. Any insights would be helpful!

Generally, phones have built-in thermal protections that can prevent damage. If it only happened this one time, your phone is likely fine. Just make sure you don't leave it charging for long periods, as that can lead to battery swelling and other issues.
Yes, heat can indeed harm batteries, but usually, it takes a prolonged exposure to be noticeable. If this was just a temporary incident, any impact on battery life should be minimal.
Would being exposed to that heat for 3-5 hours actually cause any damage?

When I say "died," I mean the battery drained to zero, which likely happened not long after I woke up since it was still hot.
