Hello everyone! I'm part of a company with around 400 employees, and we're currently struggling with remote control solutions for user computers. We've been relying on Quick Assist, but it's pretty cumbersome, especially when needing admin access. TeamViewer is off the table due to its support for unattended access. Ideally, we need something we can deploy through our Company Portal to multiple PCs. What are you all using for remote desktop access in your roles as system administrators?

In my opinion, Screen Connect is top-notch, albeit it does come with a cost. Another solution I've looked into is Gorelo; it's a full-featured RMM with a solid remote access component and reasonably priced.
Have you considered TeamViewer? Most of these applications allow you to disable unattended access. In my experience, we've used Dameware before, and currently, we use Bomgar/BeyondTrust at work. If you're looking for a free option, RustDesk could be a good fit depending on your requirements.
I spent a lot of time trying to disable unattended access with TeamViewer. You need to enroll installations into their management system to push policies, but there’s a limit on how many devices you can manage, which is frustrating.
We've been using VNC for onsite remote access; it’s been reliable for nearly 30 years. However, with many remote workers, it’s not ideal when VPN problems crop up.
That’s a great legacy tool! But yeah, VPN issues make VNC challenging for remote support.
Check out Splashtop; it's often recommended for its affordability and good features. You can configure it for whitelisted connections and to disable unattended access.
You're not the first to mention Splashtop. I'll make sure it meets our security needs, though!
I personally use Action1, and it’s free for up to 200 endpoints. It might be worth a look if you have a smaller setup, but I gather it could be out of scope for your larger needs.
Thanks for the suggestion! That might be a little too limited for our situation.

Totally agree! Screen Connect has been a lifesaver for troubleshooting, especially that Backstage feature.
