I've been experiencing lag on my PS5 for the first time ever, just starting last week. I have a gigabit internet connection through Spectrum, but my PS5 only shows speeds between 100-300 Mbps, and I've been getting ping spikes of 300-500 ms, which is frustrating during gaming. I took matters into my own hands by getting a new internet connection just for myself, upgraded to a new PS5, and bought a Cat 8 ethernet cable. I even switched from the Spectrum modem to a Netgear Nighthawk router/modem combo. Unfortunately, now my PC is also experiencing the same lag issues, regardless of how many times I've reset everything. I've tried port forwarding and tinkering with every setting on the router, but nothing seems to fix it. At this point, I'm at a loss and would really appreciate any advice on how to resolve this.

Have you tried opening the Resource Monitor on your PC? It has a network tab that shows you the performance of your network in real time. This might give you some useful insights on where the issue lies.
Have you contacted your Internet Service Provider about this? Sometimes they can find issues on their end that could be causing the lag.
It could help to check if the same lag is happening on your mobile device. Also, you can run some tests on your PC. Use the command prompt: type 'ping YouTube.com' to see your latency, and then try 'tracert YouTube.com' to trace the route to the server. This way, you might spot any unusual latencies or issues on the path to the server you're trying to reach. Also, make sure you turn off QoS and any deep packet inspection settings on your router to help with the lag.
