I'm worried my phone might have a virus since it's draining battery and overheating, even when I'm not using it. I want to factory reset it but need to back up all my notes from a notepad app. I've backed up most of my stuff already, but I can't figure out how to save the notes from this app. I looked in the Android/data directory but didn't find any files there. The app is just called 'Notepad', and I think it was removed from the Play Store. Any tips on how to back it all up?

You could also just copy your notes into a Google Doc. It's a quick way to save them and then you'll have them accessibly after your reset. How many notes are we dealing with?
You might check out the developer's site if there are any backup options there, but honestly, it might be hard to access the app's files because Android restricts it. Another option is hooking your phone up to a computer and using the Android SDK tools to pull any data. If you haven’t got too many notes, copying them over to a new notepad app could work well too!
For a deeper search, create a new note in your notepad app with a unique name, then use your file manager to search for that specific name. If nothing shows up, you might want to consider rooting your phone to get admin access, which can make files easier to find.
Try using your phone's file manager to search for *.txt files. This could help you find the notes and you can transfer them off your phone. Once you've confirmed you have everything, you can reset the phone without losing anything important.
I think I’ll just create text files on Google Drive for the important notes I want to keep. It sounds like the easiest way, and I can copy them back into a new app after the reset.
