Does This PC Build Look Good for Long-Term Use?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my current setup, which is an RX590 and a Ryzen 2700x from 2019. It's been struggling lately, lagging even with simple tasks like browsing Facebook, and I can only play League of Legends. I have a connection at a PC repair store who can get me the parts without tax, so it would cost around 4k instead of 5k in Europe. Here's what I'm looking at for a new build that I hope will last 8-10 years:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WIFI
- RAM: 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 AMD EXPO (like G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo)
- Primary SSD: 2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe PCIe 4.0
- Secondary SSD: 2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe PCIe 4.0
- CPU Cooler: ASUS ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB 360mm AIO
- Power Supply: ASUS TUF Gaming 1200W Platinum
- Case: Fractal Design North XL (Charcoal)

What do you think? Will this setup serve me well in the long run?

Your components look fantastic! Having those 64GB of RAM and the fast SSDs will really boost performance. You should have no issues running games smoothly for years!

You've got a killer build going here! Those parts are top-notch, especially the Ryzen 9 and the RTX 5080. This setup will definitely handle anything you throw at it for years to come. Just make sure to keep everything clean and updated, and you’ll be golden.

I think you’ll be really happy with this upgrade! Just be mindful that your current setup shouldn’t lag like this. Maybe check for any hidden issues before fully committing to the new parts.

Looks like a solid plan! Your current issues might stem from needing a cleanup rather than an upgrade. But if you’re making a big investment, this new build will certainly future-proof you for at least a decade.
